We seek an experienced and dedicated Community Paramedicine Provider to serve the Greater New Orleans region. The Community Paramedic will respond to dispatches, conduct initial and ongoing home visits, and provide high-quality patient care under physician's orders, regional protocols, and A-MED standards of care.

Must be able to work independently, and function as part of a care planning team. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality patient care adhering to Physician's orders, regional protocols, and A-MED standards of care.
  2. Interact with all patients in a kind and professional manner.
  3. Complete initial and ongoing home visits as required for all patients.
  4. Operate MIH vehicle in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and federal, state, and local laws.
  5. Conduct equipment checklist at the start of each assigned shift, ensuring compliance with minimum stock requirements and proper function of all equipment. Report findings via Trauma Soft before each shift.
  6. Submit all daily documentation and paperwork requirements.
  7. Ensure proper tracking and functioning of deployed A-MED devices at all times.
  8. Retain all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications.
  9. Complete other duties as assigned by management.
  10. NREMT and State certified as a Paramedic.
  11. Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  12. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paramedic.
  13. The Community Paramedic must be in good clinical standing, pass the scenarios test, and PT test.
  14. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
  15. Ability to work independently, and function as part of a care planning team.
  16. Attend Community Paramedic Training and A-MED equipment/device training. Ongoing training and additional skills incorporation into MIH-CP expected.
