YOU'LL BE DOING THIS AND MORE:

We are currently seeking an Overnight Houseman / Entry-Level Maintenance Tech / Custodial Engineer. This role reports directly to the Chief Engineer. This role involves working overnight / weekends.

  • Completing general cleaning duties in common areas and back-of-house spaces.
  • Performance of general maintenance issues.
  • Respond promptly to noise complaints.
  • Respond to all guest requests with a sense of urgency and a hospitality frame of mind.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.

The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required:

  • Ability to work up to 8 hours, with bending, standing, stooping and stretching
  • Able to push, bend, stand, and lift items up to 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Good visual acuity
  • Must be customer service oriented
  • Basic English language skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, holidays.

Previous janitorial / maintenance / security experience in a hotel or property management setting is preferred. To be successful in this role, you need basic verbal and written communication skills. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 pounds. You must also be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and be comfortable with working safely from heights. Previous technical training or job experience is a plus. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays. This is an overnight position.
