Position Summary

The Business Administration department is seeking adjunct faculty who can teach at least one course per semester in accounting (both base financial and managerial courses, as well as potential upper-level courses) and/or personal finance, beginning in the Fall 2023 semester. Experience with online instruction, both synchronous and asynchronous, is a plus, as is familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System. Teaching opportunities include both traditional face-to-face as well as online sections.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: Assessing student progress in meeting course learning objectives through formal and informal assessment, holding in-person or virtual office hours, meeting required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.

Required Qualifications:

A master's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, OR an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, and at least two years of full-time professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience teaching accounting courses and availability to teach face-to-face or online synchronous courses during business hours (8:30-4:30).
