As we continue to expand, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Architect to join our team and mentor others. This is a software development role that spends time on writing, designing & re-designing software for REI's product lines, by creating an emphasis on scalability, testing, mentorship, and upholding best coding practices.

Position Summary

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical vision and direction of our products and solutions. Your expertise will help guide the development process, ensuring adherence to best practices, and driving innovation.

Collaborates with project team and stakeholders to understand configuration management requirements on assigned projects Reviews and analyzes initial plans, templates, drawings, and/or software documents to ensure continuity of product design configuration. Create software, apps, for server applications and embedded devices that integrate with Azure. Create apps for a range of mobile devices Analyze tasks and help determine relative effort. Breaks down tasks to manageable levels. Create test plans and work well within the coding standards without strict supervisions by owning a functional area of the codebase. Work in an agile environment to produce software.

Knowledge & Skills

Fluency in C, C++, C# or similar language Familiarity with common technologies and frameworks: .NET, WCF, Entity Framework, SQL, HTML5, Xamarin. Familiarity with embedded programming that integrates with Azure IoT Core or other integrations of edge devices to the Cloud. Knowledge of video systems and compression technologies: MPEG4, MJPEG, H.265, etc Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, REST, JSON and other network protocols

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field is preferred. At least five years of related experience highly preferred Successful completion of background check Experience with embedded system development Ability to test, document, and support all levels of design, throughout entire cycle Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience working with cloud applications, with a preference to Azure Experience developing cloud-based multitier server software. Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
