Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:45 pm, Evenings & Weekends when needed.

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the IT Technician III performs a variety of standard and non-standard specialized or technical IT support services following established procedures. Knows and applies fundamental IT concepts, practices and procedures, including hardware, software and networks, as well as troubleshooting and documentation. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.

Additional Department Summary: The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for supporting on-sight and off-sight audio-visual equipment within various meeting rooms, board rooms, and multi-purpose auditorium in the Bryant Conference Center and other campus venues. Consults with clients regarding audio-visual needs, documents, and communicates information to staff.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and three (3) years of IT experience, OR Associate's degree or higher and some IT experience. Knowledge of basic programming, networking, or system skills. May require intermediate level training or certification. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

Skills and Knowledge: Must have basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of basic computing and presentation software. Experience in computer, audio-visual and/or networking troubleshooting skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions. Effectively work independently and as part of a highly skilled team. Physically capable of transporting and setting up equipment up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with Crestron DM Systems. Basic knowledge of Networked Audio/Dante systems. Knowledge of Analog Way or similar video switching platforms. Experience with audio mixing consoles and audio mixing concepts. Dante Level 1 Certification, Q-Sys Level 1 certification, or Avixa CTS certification.
