Salary/Pay Range: $1,000 per credit hour and $2,000 per lab. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Summary

The Biology Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is searching for temporary, non-tenure-track lecturers to teach Animal Physiology (Biol 3220) and Mammalogy (Biol 4280) during Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Qualified applicants will hold at least a master's degree in biology or a closely related discipline.

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs will not sponsor work visas or permanent resident applications for this position.

Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Teaching classes that need coverage.
Grading, meeting with students, and any other requirements for conducting coursework for students

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Master's degree in Biology or a closely related field.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements and fine motor skills. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
