PositionDetails:

· Contract Length: 40 Weeks ( 9 months)

Compensation:

*Total Travel Package = $4,016/wk

· Weekly Housing Allowance: $1,498.00

· Weekly Meal/Incidental Allowance: $518.00

· Weekly Taxable Income: $2,000.00

Pay rate: $50/hr

OT rate: $75/hr

*Basedupon qualifying for position and allowances. Total package is inclusive oftaxable wages and Allowances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assesses students' communication skills (e.g. articulations,fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose ofidentifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility anddeveloping recommendations for treatment
  • Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals forthe purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providingservices in compliance with established guidelines
  • Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students(e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.)for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans,and/or providing training to parents/students/staff
  • Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educationalmaterials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communicationdisorders in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriatecommunication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FM systems, augmentativecommunication devices, etc.)
  • Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports,activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation,quarterly reports, screening results, etc.)
  • Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g.training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.)
  • Provides speech and language therapy to students for thepurpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders onstudent success
    • Seeks appropriate in-service and professionaldevelopment
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in thestate of assignment required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-LanguagePathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
