IT Specialist

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Systems Administration organization (JNPS) of the Platform Services (JNP) organization of Enterprise Technology Operations Services (JN), Information Technology (J).

A successful candidate in the IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/DATAMGT) position will serve as an IT specialist performing duties associated with System Administration, Data Management and Systems Analysis specialty areas.

As an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/DATAMGT), you will:

• Perform a variety of work involving planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Generate and run simulation models for future applications. Evaluate and verify impacts on the current and planned enterprise IT architecture.
• Develop and present plans for integrating new server technology into existing architecture.
• Perform a variety of work involving planning, development, implementation, and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.
• Provide guidance for the application of data modeling practices to the development of data management applications.
• Lead teams to develop and implement new data management schema.
• Perform a variety of work involving applying analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
• Lead/conduct studies designed to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied to key business functions.
