Realty Specialist

This position is part of the WAPA-SNR-Sierra Nevada Region. As a Realty Specialist, you will oversee the acquisition and management of land and land rights for construction, as well as work with landowners to enable the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of WAPA's transmission facilities in SNR.

**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Folsom, CA duty location.**

As a Realty Specialist at the full performance level, you will:

• Independently develop, implement, and manage land rights policies, standards, and procedures to support all SNR's maintenance and construction related activities in accordance with the broad overall policy objectives established by SNR's Regional Manager, SNR's Maintenance and Environmental managers, Headquarters (HQ) Lands Manager, WAPA's Natural Resources Manager, and the Department of Energy (DOE).
• Prepare documentation for the contract and grant of license agreements, easements, title opinions, leases, and permits for secondary uses of WAPA's lands.
• Serve as the region's point of contact for all maintenance and construction-related realty issues and provide subject matter expertise, advice, and assistance to SNR's Maintenance unit when discussing WAPA's realty and land management policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Participate in proposed facilities route planning and provides expert and technical findings to identify land ownership, social, economic, or political problems that may affect the plan and to provide recommended solutions in a timely manner.
