Description:

Responsibilities:


• Responsible for ensuring equipment has a continuous flow.


• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.


• Set/pull molds in infection molding machines for startup by process technicians.


• Complete color changes and line clearances as required.


• Perform the sequences of operation and the making of major decisions, involving the running or stopping of molds.


• Follow all safety regulations and LOTO guidelines to ensure compliance.


• Complete daily pm checklists on assigned machines.


• Prepare molds for PD changes.


• Set up axillary equipment to ensure efficient part containment.


• Unjam parts and recycle machines in the safest and most efficient manner possible in an effort to keep reaction time in the green.


• Uses scanners to scan finished production to warehouse. Also scans scrap for area.


• Cleans floors and maintains orderliness for assigned area.


• Maintains area with boxes/totes for production and monitors color buckets/material.


• Cleans machine, conveyors, and oil/water spills.


• Must be able to operate forklift (if authorized) in accordance with OSHA regulation.


• Perform routine maintenance activities to grinders and separators as needed and check and replace vinyl under machines when necessary.


• Adhere to daily molding schedule regarding restarts, shut downs and change overs.


• Perform duties to complete a wide variety of complicated machine set ups (such as dip tube changes, mechanical parts change).


• Perform quality checks/audits during a production run through visual inspection and aligned with the quality plan.


• Measure, examine and test assembly units to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance.


• Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results and production results.


• Ensure outgoing products follow required specifications.


• Train temporary or new employees.


• Escalates identified safety, quality, performance issues as may be needed.


• May be required to work over 40 hours.


• Must follow all work rules and policies
