Roadway Inspector

TRC is currently seeking experienced Roadway Inspector to support our team in the Northern CA area (San Francisco Bay Area).This role will focus on all aspects of required field and office construction work, including but not limited to, inspection of non-structural and structural construction operations, inspection of traffic control system compliance, CCO preparation and analysis, CPM scheduling analysis, and SWPPP enforcement.Provide daily inspections and complete documentation including daily reports documenting contractor labor, equipment, daily construction progress, project site visitors, non-conforming work, safety issues, traffic control, field measured quantiles, field discussions with the contractor and public, and daily project photographs, etc.Inspect road and bridge construction (based on Caltrans Standards), including checking grades, formwork, rebar placement, concrete batch tickets, curing method, etc.3-5+ years progressively responsible experience in roadway construction inspection, or 6-8+ years of general construction experience.Knowledge and experience in specific work trades such as traffic control, asphalt paving, concrete, electrical, plumbing and utilities installation, instrumentation and controls as required per project needs.Familiar with regulatory requirements such as CalOsha, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Regional Water Quality Control Boards, and other regulatory agencies as required.Caltrans experience strongly preferred.
