Description:
This person will make sure the money is coming in verify patient insurance, 90 days and older, day 3 they bill it out. By 90 days. They contact the insurance carrier to see why no payment received. Look over medical records and submit. They need justification from physicians. They will also look up insurance overpay and refund payments. Patients share if they have no way to pay, they do the due diligence to figure out how to cover co pay. Sometimes they have funds available for this. Build a relationship with the insurance company, reviewing accounts, different codes when submitting claims. Find out about claim.
Reviewing problem accounts and resolving issues to facilitate the fastest and most accurate billing and reimbursement.
Documenting all activities thoroughly, accurately on each account in our practice management system.
Provide immediate feedback to Lead and Manager regarding errors and issues causing delays in reimbursement that originated in billing.
Documenting delinquent activity and recommendation for collections/write off activity to General Manager.
