JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education: High school graduate Current CNA certificate, MUST be able to work full time & Night shift 6pm to 6am

Required Licenses / Certifications:
CNA, NRP & BLS - Organization will provide training

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Basic computer skills, congenial personality, willingness to learn new skills, certified CNA, certified in BLS, working knowledge of medical terminology, basic mathematical skills and language skills. Ability to reason, comprehend written and oral instructions and deal with problems involving concrete variables.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for assisting and keeping the RN and manager informed of progress, materials status and potential problems on OB unit.

Accountable to OB manager and under direct supervision of the charge nurse, providing direct patient care according to scope of practice to pt., family, and visitors.

Meets communication needs of pt., family, staff and medical staff.

Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and is responsible for clerical duties, as well as stocking and maintaining unit with medical supplies and office supplies.

Will learn to assist in the Operating Room. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, and hospital policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Assurance programs.

Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.
