About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance



Duties
  • Serve as Senior Investigator to participate in and/or conduct on-the-scene investigations of accidents or incidents involving military aircraft, selected United States Government aircraft, and military ground vehicles.
  • Respond on short notice to investigate accidents in many locations in the continental United States and World-Wide in support of the United States Army's military mission.
  • Compile all significant findings concerning the accident, interview technical witnesses, and complete a written record of all the known material facts, conditions, and circumstances, to establish the basic material causes of individual occurrences.
  • Conduct equipment failure analysis in direct support of U.S. Army's Product Quality Deficiency Programs and by joint military agreement with other U.S. Military services and government agencies.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and authority in matters relating to aircraft systems and component malfunctions and is responsible for the validity of recommendations made to correct or reduce the probability of recurring malfunctions.
  • This Position requires participation in medical surveillance program for monitoring adverse health effects.
