Downstacker

Keep the Asitrade department in an orderly fashion and assist in the production of laminated sheets for the cutting department.
Keep building in clean and orderly condition and to assist in the SQF Audits while maintaining SQF standards.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operates downstacker equipment
- Performs quality checks and informs the SF or Lam operators of any sheet quality issues
- Preps loads for removal
- Retains customer samples for supervisor review
- Evaluates load stack quality and tags for proper treatment (i.
- Evaluates load for warp and drops out 1⁄2 loads as necessary to assist SF operator in making adjustments
- Keeps daily time and materials usage reports and records information in SAP and RF Gen
- Performs Preventative Maintenance
- Disassembles machines to maintain, repair, or replace broken or worn parts, using hand tools
- Assist temporary employees with understanding task assignments while Reinforcing SQF standards and Graphic Packaging Internationals core values.
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Manager

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Basic computer skills, data entry
- Visual Color Discrimination, the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors
- Familiar with SQF compliance standards
- Familiar with Food defense compliance standards
- Forklift certified
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, GED
- Prior experience working machines
Physical Demands:
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lb.
- Occasional climbing, stooping, bending and overhead reaching.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Fine hand manipulation.
- Grasping and gripping.
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
- Color vision needed to detect inappropriate color of product.
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts plus overtime as required
- Must be able to work any shift (days/graveyard)
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
