Tax Mid-Senior Level Associate – Washington, DC

Our client, an elite US law firm with international offices is seeking a strategic growth hire at the mid-senior end in their tax department.
The firm literally wrote the book on M&A and Buy-Outs from a tax perspective, and therefore has superior clientele and transactions in the area.
The work involves planning, structuring, negotiating and implementing large domestic and cross-border acquisitive transactions, corporate combinations, dispositions and joint ventures, including taxable and tax-free mergers, restructurings and spin-offs.
The work will also involve advising domestic and foreign multinational firms regarding the US tax aspects of significant transactions, including some of the decade's most complex demergers and spin-offs as well as in and out-bound investors in the US.
This firm may be small, but the deals are huge and the work is as complex and challenging as it comes.
The firm is prestigious and candidates are often drawn to the name, but people stay for the culture – attorneys describe each other as 'not taking themselves too seriously' and that transpires into career development and opportunities.
