Summary

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School (MCCES) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.



Duties
  • You will optimize the functionality of networks and systems, and diagnos and recover failed systems as necessary.
  • You will reallocate resources as they become available, optimize systems performance, and recommend additional components to improve overall systems performance.
  • You will install, test, and implement vendor-supplied modifications to existing systems software; independently determine the feasibility of installing modifications and schedule implementation to ensure continuity of operations.
  • You will configure system components such as disk drives, printers, and other peripherals needed to support the operating environment.
  • You will ensure that all hardware or software that is installed is appropriately and configured securely using Security Technical Implantation Guides (STIGs) or in the absence of applicable STIGs using industry best practices.
  • You will interpret diagnostic information in order to isolate probable hardware problems before they appear and initiates actions to correct failure.
