Job Summary and Qualifications

The Systems Specialist is responsible for maintaining and supporting systems within the Facilities Management Department including but not limited to fire, building automation, nurse call, card access, data bases, space management, overhead paging systems and spread sheets. The Systems Specialist will identify, diagnose and solve support calls. This position will train as required other facilities management staff for their daily functions with these systems. Other duties include maintaining the resource center, computer assistance, weekend shifts, and other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor.

A. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to trouble shoot in stressful situations, which could involve life safety issues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required. Must be proficient with hardware installations of PC's, printers, terminals and related peripherals.
  • Must be familiar with multiple operating systems and have basic knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Must possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
