This Manufacturing Chemist II position is part of the Small Molecule Chemistry Group located in Coralville, Iowa and will be onsite. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debate, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare organic compounds according to documented procedures and regulations using chemical reaction equipment.
  • Obtain, analyze, and report data from various analytical techniques. Use data and individual judgement to make process decisions and recommendations (HPLC, NMR, TLC, UV-Vis).
  • Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment. Identify and investigate possible production improvements and solutions
  • Train staff on current SMC courses.
  • Utilize DBS tools such as Daily Management, 5S, and PSP to continuously identify and take advantage of improvement opportunities.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science field
  • Minimum of 1+ year previous laboratory and chemical handling experience required Handle chemicals safely.
  • Effectively utilize ERP system to create work orders, transfer material and decrement from the system

It would be a plus if you also possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry
  • 1+ year of experience in a laboratory with chemical handling
  • 1+ year experience in SMC

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
