The primary purpose of this position is to exercise first level supervisory and managerial authorities over an office of auditors (four or more), who provide continuing independent review of financial, account, and/or management operations and control; to ensure that funds, personnel, equipment, and other resources are employed effectively, securely, and economically.



Duties
  • As Audit manager, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the USSOCOM Inspector General Audit Branch, ensuring that the audits comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Represents USSOCOM with a variety of government, installation and functional area organizations.
  • Establishes long-term and short-term goals and plans to enhance HQ USSOCOM activities performance and promote customer focus.
  • Produces high quality products that address customer needs. Incumbent is responsible to ensure the core classified information protection security disciplines of information are fully covered from a policy and programmic view point to ensure overall information protection requirements meet mission requirements.
