Hours:
Full Time, Monday through Friday. Night and weekend call. (every 4th weekend).
About The Job:
Responsible for performing general diagnostic imaging exams, CT's, as well as mammography and other designated procedures. Contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care. Provides care appropriate to the age and development of patients of most ages – teenagers through geriatric.
What we are looking for:
Education:
Graduation of an AMA Radiologic Technology program.
Currently holds an Iowa permit to practice Maintains certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Credentials preferred include: Mammography, BDSM certification and CT certification as sponsored by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Must be willing to obtain credentials within a designated time frame as determined by department need.
Remains current with Continuing Education requirements for designated national certifications.
Experience:
1-2 year's experience preferred
Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes:
Excellent communication skills required.
Leadership skills are preferred.
Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
Completes Mandatory Reporting:
Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 3 years.
