Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the principles and processes involved in wastewater treatment plant operations
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of various equipment and systems
  • Monitor and control the treatment process to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and permit requirements
  • Perform routine inspections and tests to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of treatment processes
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of wastewater samples for laboratory testing
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and systems, including troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in wastewater treatment operations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to plant operations and maintenance activities
Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment is desirable
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including working in confined spaces
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
  • Valid driver's license
