Highlights of this opportunity include:

Anesthesia Team:
approximately 20 physicians (50% ACTA) and 40 Allied Health (CRNA's, AA's). Direct patient care of cardiovascular patients. Anesthesia care team model reserved for non-cardiac cases.

  • 20,000 cases annually and ~ 5500 deliveries
  • 600 cardiac cases annually
  • Cardiac catheterization and angioplasty, high risk PCI, hybrid procedures
  • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
  • Mitral Clip
  • Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
  • Valve repair/replacements
  • Aortic surgery
  • Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)
  • Ventricular assist devices (VADs)

Facility Information:

Envision Physician Services (EPS) is currently seeking a qualified Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology (ACTA) fellowship trained anesthesiologist for a full-time opportunity at Memorial Regional Hospital (MRH).

Established in Hollywood, FL in 1953, MRH remains the flagship facility of the Memorial Healthcare System.

MRH has a distinguished reputation throughout south Florida, as a high-quality medical center offering advanced medical treatments, novel technologies and multi-disciplinary integrative team approach to patient care.

Among MRH's notable programs and assets is the all-encompassing Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute (CVI).

This institute integrates interventional cardiology, electrophysiology cardiology, imaging cardiology, heart failure medicine, transplant medicine, vascular surgery, and cardiac surgery to care for the wide breadth of cardiovascular problems patients face.

Partnering with the neighboring Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital, MRH also provides skilled subspecialty care to complex Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) patients.

In addition to cardiovascular accolades, the hospital also boasts the Memorial Cancer Institute, the Neuroscience Center, high acuity obstetrics accreditation and its standing as one of only a few level I trauma centers in the state of Florida.

SUPPORT AT THIS ACTA OPPORTUNITY INCLUDE:

  • Perform own intra-operative trans-esophageal echocardiography (TEE): backup cardiology support on ACHD cases.
  • CARDIOVASCULAR INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (CVICU): Newly inaugurated 10/2018, 20 bed unit, 24hour in-house CVICU Intensivist coverage.
  • Subspecialty meetings: ACTA department prn meeting, CV multidisciplinary team quarterly meeting

Structural heart disease meeting:
multidisciplinary, weekly review of patients.
  • Ongoing education: quarterly-yearly review of mechanical assist devices and ECMO procedures and protocols.
