Lets do this. Lets change the world. Amgens Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) department in our Thousand Oaks, CA headquarters is looking for a graduate student interested in a 12-month Co-Op assignment. The position will be responsible for the following:

Assist in the continuous improvement of EHSS compliance programs (e.g., Biosafety, Environmental Compliance, Ergonomics, Hearing Conservation, Industrial Safety, Radiation Safety and Respiratory Protection)Assist in the assessment of physical and chemical hazards and implementation of control strategiesAssist with providing support for the Ergonomics program including performing ergonomic assessmentsPerform audits and inspections (e.g., regulated waste, compliance inspections)Performs other duties as assignedWinHeres what it takes to Win We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The self-motivated individual we seek is an enthusiastic learner with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or olderGraduated with a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalentCurrently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Masters program for a Masters internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA ORMasters OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship startsEnrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignmentMust not be employed at the time the internship startsStudent must be located in the United States for the duration of the co-opPreferred QualificationsDegree concentrations in Environmental and Occupational Health, Environmental Sciences or Industrial HygieneExperience with industrial hygiene instrumentationApplied knowledge of Cal/OSHA, OSHA and EPA regulationsWorking knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and practicesStrong written, verbal and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize effectively in a rapidly evolving environmentComputer literate including MS Office SuiteThriveSome of the vast rewards of working here As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth in addition to their well-being: The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $ $40.00.
