We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing at San Francisco Post-Acute for a fulfilling leadership position.

  • Full-time role for an Assistant Director of Nursing
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse position
  • Starting rate between $42-$45
  • Minimum two years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility required

About the role:

The ideal Assistant Director of Nursing is a compassionate and hard-working Licensed Vocational Nurse who has honed their managerial and administrative skills. They must be efficient, dedicated, an attentive listener, and a proficient problem-solver. The primary objective is to cultivate a supportive environment that enhances the hospital's operations and benefits the patients.

Responsibilities of the ADON include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in care conferences for multiple admissions
  • Assisting with CSR when necessary
  • Verifying orders for new admissions
  • Keeping COC care plans current
  • Educating floor nurses and ensuring follow-ups on doctors' orders
  • Auditing patient charts post-admission
  • Reviewing unadministered medications and ensuring timely delivery
  • Collaborating with COC to prevent RTAs and training new nurses
  • Providing floor support as needed and fulfilling orders over the weekend
  • Monitoring emar/etar for compliance and assisting with in-services and nurse meetings
