Position: Consumer/Commercial Loan Internal Audit Assistant (Full Time)

Location: Mockingbird- Sulphur Springs-Compliance & Audit Department

Hours: M-F, 8-5

Job Description: This Internal Audit Assistant position will be primarily consumer and commercial loan oriented with review of loan packets post-closing and Notice of Action Taken forms. This position will also be responsible for various other loan audit functions to ensure and document the bank's compliance with laws and regulations in those areas.

Job Requirements
  • Be willing to learn regulations & document requirements
  • Ensure that loans are booked and documented in compliance with approved lending policies and procedures and are within regulatory requirements including reviewing loans post-closing for policy exceptions, regulatory violations and technical exceptions
  • Report/Audit writing and research capabilities as well as maintain accurate work papers and exception reports
  • Open to cross training in all areas of audit within the bank
  • Presentation of reports quarterly to the Audit Committee
  • Some travel required for ongoing regulatory training at seminars/schools, as well as, helping to provide loan compliance training for employees in loan associated situations
  • Complete confidentiality of all Audit Department findings and research
  • This is an onsite position and cannot be performed remotely
    Job Skills/Qualifications:
    • Proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Must have relevant loan experience within a financial services industry
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Professional interpersonal relationship skills
    • Be able to work in a team environment
    • Demonstrate initiative and commitment to continuous learning and the ability to adapt to change
