Overview

JOB SUMMARY: Prepares and serves food, ensuring the highest quality service to customers. Follows recipes, operates kitchen equipment, and maintains cleanliness. Adheres to policies, contributes to customer satisfaction, and upholds safety and sanitation standards.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED equivalent and one year of experience in a food service environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies, promoting a cooperative work environment and demonstrating commitment to customer service.
  2. Contributes to positive patient and customer satisfaction, maintaining sanitation standards and ensuring quality product at stations.
  3. Maintains sanitation ratings, follows safety regulations, and completes required training.
  4. Monitors product quality, adheres to guidelines, and ensures productivity and delivery schedules are met.
  5. Follows workplace safety and sanitation rules, completes daily cleaning, and responds to corrective actions.
  6. Completes required training and participates in performance improvement initiatives, working as a team player and supporting diversity.
  7. Minimizes waste, controls costs, and plans work day to ensure timely meal service.
  8. Prepares food following policies and procedures, adjusts recipes as needed, and maintains HACCP documentation.
  9. Must be fluent in English, operate cooking equipment, withstand temperature variances, and achieve high customer service standards.
  10. Works in all Food and Nutrition Services areas, including kitchens and retail areas. May be exposed to wet floors and sharp equipment.
