SUMMARY
We are looking for a Lean Manager for our Solar Operating Group to serve as a partner to project leaders in developing plans and engaging project team members in executing and sustaining the lean approach. Coach and develop capability in field and project leaders so they can confidently and effectively apply the elements of that approach-whether 5S, Flow Construction, Mortenson's kaizen-based continuous improvement approach or all the above-to make work safer and easier and improve project outcomes.
Prefer candidate to live in or be willing to relocate to Minneapolis, Minnesota area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create strong partnerships with project leadership and craft workforce to establish trust and gain buy-in for lean approachesEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelLead team members by example, putting continuous effort to developing greater understanding and abilityto coach team members in applying Mortenson's continuous improvement approach.Promote continuous improvement principles onsiteAct as a key resource for identifying opportunities, planning, and executing the continuous improvement approach for the project and in the field for self-perform workSupport group and project leaders in preparing for, conducting, and following up on improvement eventsActively engage with field leaders to build their capability in utilizing the Kaizen continuous
improvement approach after improvement eventsReinforce continuous improvement principles and ensure ongoing application of essential tools after improvement eventsMeasure baseline performance and improvements, ensuring continuous visibility into improvements across projects and tasksEnsure teams are sharing work process improvements across crews and projects and updating standardized work documentation to support this effortCollaborate with group leaders to acknowledge and recognize crews and teams for their
