Responsibilities

  1. Serve as project lead for regulatory procedure implementation and process improvement initiatives including coordinating department training, communication protocols and in-services.
  2. Assist with management of suspect products including investigation, gaining control of the products, completing necessary documents for suspect product management, product release and final disposition.
  3. Process collections-related problems through the problem management system including attending root cause meetings, visiting blood drives and/or collection sites to assess for compliance and standardization and responding to procedural questions from staff at blood drives and on call.
  4. Process reports including customer complaints, material review board process, supply and equipment problem deficiency reports and ensure reports are accurate, complete, clear and concise.
  5. Develop, implement and monitor process / quality improvement initiatives, internal and external inspections / evaluations and staff training protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and resolve regulatory issues.
  6. Participate on cross-functional teams to support communications, problem management and process improvement.
  7. Manage change control for region.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. System 11 training preferred.

Skills & Abilities: Excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, analyze problems, recommend appropriate solutions, and assimilate information quickly required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills to deal with all levels of staff, hospital personnel, physicians, volunteers and donors required. Proficient with Microsoft office applications. Ability to work on a team.

Travel: Some travel may be required.
