Craig, United States Sea Otter Sound Lodge Full time
We are offering a unique position for our Coast Guard licensed skippers job. You must have at a minimum a Six Pack license from the Coast Guard to apply for this job. Sea Otter Sound Lodge is a premier remote self-guided fishing lodge booked 2 years in advance.

Some of our older guests want to go out in the big water for their halibut, black bass, and ling cod.

Our lodge offers half day, morning fishing trips.

Upon the guest's return to the lodge around 1 PM, pictures are taken and they finish the day salmon fishing from their self guided boat.

On average, this happens 32 times during our 90 day season. Your fishing spots are on the boat's chart plotter. Most areas are protected areas.

The best way to locate our lodge is:
go to Google Maps, enter Sea Otter Sound Lodge into their search bar, and we will come up. Google put us in as a destination lodge a few years ago. We are 50 miles north of Craig.

We have 12 staff, 6 outside and 6 inside. You would be part of the outside staff. Typically, you would work the filet table. We will train you to filet if you do not have the experience. We are a remote lodge so we provide your room, sometimes shared with one other person, and all meals. You will also receive your portion of tips that are mandated from the guests. The average tips are $100 per day per staff member. That is an extra $3,000 per month plus tips you receive on the boat from the guests. Total compensation from the lodge and tips is a bit over $7,000.00 per month plus room and board.

Our staff environment at the lodge is supportive and friendly.

There are activities at the lodge such as fishing on your own, target shooting or quad riding on the island.

If you are a good hand, you will have the support and respect of the staff and our long time guests.

We welcome your interest in being a part of the Sea Otter Sound Lodge team. The best way to contact me is by email. Thank you.
