Receive and review prescriptions for the full range of pharmaceuticals to include controlled drugs, intravenous medications, and hematology/oncology drugs.
Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed.
Serve as dispensing pharmacy technician performing final preparation on medication orders and new prescriptions.
Receive, review, fill, label, and set aside prescriptions to be reviewed by the pharmacist.

Enter prescription into computer system, review profile for allergy and herbal documentation, drug/drug or drug/food interactions, and duplicate orders.

Perform final check on refilled prescriptions that have been screened and verified by the pharmacist.
