The Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) in Charleston, WV is seeking a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to join our talented and collegial group in a thriving and well-established practice with high patient volume.
Job Requirements by the time of appointment are:
- MD, DO degree or foreign equivalent degree from an accredited program
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
- Endovascular/Cerebrovascular trained is preferred
- Brain and spine skill set preferred
- Ability to obtain a WV Medical License prior to start of employment
Benefits include:
Competitive compensation package which includes annual salary of $850,00 with generous sign-on bonus, health, dental, vision insurance, and 401K retirement plan with employer contributions. Additional benefits include, 30 days of time away from the practice, 10 CME days, $6K CME allowance and $2K dues and subscriptions stipend.

Charleston Area Medical Center is a nonprofit, 1,103-bed regional referral center made up of six hospitals: CAMC General Hospital, CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, CAMC Memorial Hospital, CAMC Plateau Medical Center, CAMC Teays Valley Hospital and CAMC Women and Children's Hospital, as well as the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine and the CAMC Foundation. Nearly 900 physicians have admitting privileges at CAMC, which is also West Virginia's premiere medical teaching facility.
