Overview

The Revenue Cycle Team Lead will support team including the supervisor with reviewing revenue reports weekly, working closely with the collection team to achieve monthly cash goal, and providing training to the team as needed. The Revenue Cycle Team Lead will also be responsible for reviewing and auditing the team's work submitted in reporting portal.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities to improve department workflows and cross functional processes
  • Researches and resolves revenue cycle problems and discrepancies
  • Serves as informational resource to other revenue cycle coordinators and staff to provide assistance and guidance with their daily activities
  • Performs general accounts receivable functions regarding revenue, billing, and cash processes
  • Uploads revenue received from operations
  • Follows billing schedule to ensure claims are billed in a timely manner
  • Works with operations to resolve denials
  • Completes month-end close processes, such as revenue balancing and reporting
  • Leads monthly Accounts Receivable calls with assigned operations to work aging as well as participate in monthly Critical Account calls for the entire region
  • Follows proper procedures for revenue adjustments
  • Assists with reviewing and processing refund requests, charge backs, returns and bad checks
  • Fields questions throughout the month regarding revenue, billing, and aging issues
  • Audits productivity and work quality on colleagues and client accounts
  • Communicates with customers in a timely manner regarding claims, invoice payments, phone inquiries and account updates
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Accounting/Finance preferred and two to three years of accounting related experience
  • Effective communication, analytical, and organizationa skills
  • Knowledge of general accounting methods, as well as above average proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook;
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and VA billing/collections preferred; Waystar portal experience is a plus
