Role Summary:
Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for coordinating global partnership across all operational functions, (valuations/pricing, attribution/performance, data management, reconciliation, Corporate Actions).
This role requires excellent understanding of various investment instruments, e.g. Equities and Fixed Income. As a Consultant, you will provide valuable guidance and support to our clients in navigating corporate action events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities will include setting up of an Event Announcement, Election Management, Processing of Entitlements, as well as Reconciliation, Investigation and Resolution of Corporate Actions' related issues.
- Perform detailed analysis of all global Corporate Action event types, including but not limited to Mergers, Dividends, Exchanges, and Tenders to provide comprehensive insight to the internal and external partners.
- Proactively identify potential risks and opportunities associated with Corporate Actions to develop process improvements or in support of initiatives that benefit division/department strategy
- Responsible for ensuring all updates are incorporated into relevant Corporate Actions Procedures.
- Cross-functionally collaborate with internal partners across the enterprise to resolve escalations, inquiries, incidents and challenges as quickly as possible.
- Maintain and pro-actively communicate the BCP procedure updates to the team.
- Adherence to Standards & Procedures and the promotion of best practices.
- Maintain KPI's, Volumes trend analysis and Error log for the process.
- Should be highly agile to assume various cross-functional roles and responsibilities in alignment with business demands
- Provides hands-on training for new staff and functional cross-training for experienced staff.
- Generates ideas for operational efficiency and assesses impact.
Necessary Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of the Corporate Action Lifecycle processes and related Asset Management functions preferred.
- Knowledge of global market nuances related to Corporate Action processing, financial markets, legal and regulatory requirements preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and manage projects and system development changes.
- Experience operating industry recognized platforms, such as Aladdin and Eagle preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree, emphasis in Accounting/Finance preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in Operations functions within Asset Servicing and/or Asset Management.
- Experience in Corporate Actions is preferred.
