\tCrop Scout Interns inspect fields for weeds, insects, diseases, and other observations. These observations are then communicated back to the Keystone Cooperative team. Crop Scout Interns play an important role in the services offered by Keystone Cooperative to make timely, informed, and economical decisions.\r
\t\r
\tEssential Job Functions\r

\t\r
\t\tCreate scouting reports that identify weeds, insects, diseases, growth stages, stand counts, and any field anomalies\r
\t\r
\t\tReport observations to coordinators and region enablement leads\r
\t\r
\t\tUtilize drones to make observations and collect data (select individuals)\r
\t\r
\t\tCollect tissue samples and data from in-field trials\r
\t\r
\t\tCreate region scouting summaries from data collected each week\r
\t\t \r
\r
\r
\tEnvironment\r

\r
\t\r
\t\t100% travel in territory\r
\t\r
\t\t75% in fields, 25% in training/tours/events\r
\t\r
\t\tFlexible work schedule\r
\t\r
\t\tWeekly region meetings for scouting updates, summaries, and training\r
\t\r
\t\tRequired Experience/Skills\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to work outdoors for extended periods of time and under all weather conditions\r
\t\r
\t\tAbove average organizational skills, ability to understand new concepts and learn quickly\r
\t\r
\t\tComplete work with little or no supervision in a timely manner; self-motivated\r
\t\r
\t\tEducation includes (but not limited to) students or graduates from a university or college agricultural programs, or other educations who are genuinely interested in working in the agricultural community\r
\t\r
\t\tAn agronomy background is advantageous but not necessary\r
\t\r
\t\tMust have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and a reliable vehicle\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to use an iPad, GPS software, and field scouting equipment\r
\t\r
