Nursing Assistant-Intermittent

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for direct patient care to include observation, recording of activities of daily living, and reporting changes in the veterans condition, as well as assistant in the development and revision of the patient-driven holistic care plan for life.
The first cut-off date is 02/05/2024. Additional applications will be referred as needed.
Duties
The Nursing Assistant requires a general review of their work by a Registered Nurse for appropriateness and conformity with policies, and procedures.
The Nursing Assistant assigned in the patient care areas demonstrates active collaboration and communication with the Licensed Vocational Nurse, Registered Nurse, Veteran, Primary Care Provider, and other care team members.
It is also imperative that the Nursing Assistant establish a positive rapport with the family/caregiver, internal and community-based services and disciplines involved in providing care to the veteran.
The Nursing Assistant assigned in the outpatient care areas demonstrates active collaboration and communication with Teamlet (Veteran, Primary Care Provider, and Registered Nurse Case Manager) and larger team (family/caregiver, internal and community-based services and disciplines involved in providing care to the veteran).
Work Schedule: 7:30am to 8:00pm

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: Less than 3 years of service= (4 hours) times (average # of hours per biweekly pay period) divided by 80 = biweekly accrual rate; 3 years but less than 15 years of service = (6 hours) times (average # of hours per biweekly pay period) divided by 80 = biweekly accrual rate;15 or more years of service = (8 hours) times (average # of hours per biweekly pay period) divided by 80 = biweekly accrual rate
