Job Description:

The Eugene F. Brigham Finance, Insurance and Real Estate Department of the Warrington College of Business invites applications for the tenure track position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance.

Position entails research and teaching requirements commensurate with a tenure track finance professor at a top-level U.S. University. Applicants are expected to have and pursue research interests in the "Fintech" area. This means demonstrated application of ML/AI tools in research and/or research interests related to the impact of Technology on financial markets, corporations, and financial intermediaries. Similarly, there is preference for an ability to teach courses related to these research interests. Additional preference for applicants with some record of top-tier publications. Position begins August of 2024.



Expected Salary:

Competitive and commensurate with experience and academic credentials.



Minimum Requirements:

Must have a PhD in Finance or Economics or related fields (or evidence of meeting this requirement in the near future). Must also have demonstrated proficiency in academic research as evidenced by academic publications and working papers. It is expected that applicants have familiarity with Python and R programming languages and can instruct students with respect to finance applications of these languages. Must also have teaching experience at the collegiate level.



Preferred Qualifications:

Evidence of top-tier publications. Also, a preference for senior Assistant rank professors for any Assistant level hire.
