Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage day to day activities and responsibilities of the purchasing team
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Ensure that procedures are being followed by departments ordering supplies and that proper authorizations are in place for major purchases
  • Ensure all necessary parts and supplies are being ordered, making sure that the plant has everything it needs to run
  • Lead the team to achieve the area s KPIs
  • Pursuit cost savings opportunities
  • Negotiation with vendors
  • Analysis of inventory levels
  • Work on processing payments to vendors if necessary (workflows)
  • Create and implement processes (as needed) and train the team

    Key qualifications, abilities and skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
    • Knowledge on SAP
    • Organizational skills, analytical and critical thinking
    • Knowledge on maintenance equipment
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Sense of urgency
    • 2+ years of experience in Purchasing roles for manufacturing companiesEOE/VETS/DISABILITY
