The C5I Service Center is charged with ensuring that the Coast Guard Information Systems supporting various missions meet the security requirements mandated by the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) of 2014. The majority of the staff are considered to be Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) who work with the Senior Information Security Office (SISO), and Coast Guard CYBER Command.

This position is responsible for assisting more senior program managers in managing various Coast Guard operational information technology programs to implement sound, integrated IT services and plans within the C5I enterprise.

• Assist with the review of program requirements, project risk management and technical expertise during the Lifecycle of OISPL portfolio products;
• Provide support for Product Line strategic Systems Engineering and Application Modernization initiatives, to include:
• supporting analysis of possible technical solutions to provide recommendations for systems modernization platforms;
• supporting Agile execution and reporting initiatives to improve Agile project management;
• assisting in the development of Courses of Actions (COAs) for implementing capability changes, improvements and upgrades;
• leveraging Department of Defense (DoD) 365 suite of Microsoft tools to improve product knowledge management, project management and reporting.
