About the Department:

About the Position:

The Mechanical Engineering Department is seeking applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions starting in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in research and teaching, with opportunities for tenured positions based on experience and achievements.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, establishing a research program, advising students, contributing to departmental activities, and engaging in professional and public service.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field by the start date, demonstrate potential for excellence in research, and show a commitment to high-quality teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position welcomes candidates from all subdisciplines within Mechanical Engineering, with a particular interest in fluid mechanics and thermal sciences. The department values candidates who can collaborate across disciplines.
