Overview
This is a skilled position involving control and operation of multiple types of asphalt equipment and labor duties. The Asphalt Plant Laborer position involves various manual tasks, and safely performs a variety of duties.
Wage ranges from $21 to $23 per hour, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and
Functions)
- Greasing and adjusting plant
- Unloading AC
- Pull oil/asphalt and cold feed
- Collect shot
- Safely and efficiently operate skid steer/man
- General upkeep of the plant
- Help perform maintenance and minor repairs on the
- Other duties as
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 1 year experience and/or training in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and
- Minimum of 3 years of road construction experience
.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or
- Must pass pre employment physical, drug screen and criminal background
- Must maintain current driver's license that meets state
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co workers, supervisors, and the general public at all
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, and Coveralls.
- Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA
Knowledge/Skill

- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety of working

- Ability to operate heavy and complex equipment that may include but not limited to Loader, Backhoe, Truck, Car, and Asphalt Paving Equipment requiring skill and the exercise of independent judgment.
