Archbishop Rummel High School is seeking a candidate to immediately fill a Latin teaching position in a strong and valued Classics program. We currently offer Latin I Honors, Latin II Honors, Latin III Honors, and Latin IV AP. We currently utilizeLatin for the New Millennium in our Latin I and II classes, while our Latin III students read Cicero's First Catilinarian Oration in the fall and selections from Ovid's Metamorphoses in the spring. Annually our students perform very well on the National Latin Exam and on the College Board AP Latin Exam. Candidates may expect to teach 15-25 students in each of the first two courses and 5-15 students in the upper-level courses.

Archbishop Rummel High School employs a rigorous, content-rich curriculum in the arts and sciences which include primary sources to convey the stories and mysteries of the human condition as told by the great authors and thinkers. We aim to cultivate moral character and human virtue rooted in prudence, justice, courage, humility, gratitude, perseverance, and compassion. Our curriculum recognizes that the Western and American traditions are our precious heritage and transmit the accumulated wisdom of Western civilization.

Candidates should exhibit a high degree of professionalism and be motivated to teach our young men how to be disciplined and caring leaders, formed in the Catholic faith. Candidates will have completed years of college-level Latin and be willing to work toward certification.

Degree in classical language's preferred.
