Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the CYBER/SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Responsibilities You will manage the day-to-day operations of the Divisions, which consists of approximately 140 scientists, engineers, and administrative specialists.

You will Serve as STRL rating Official and directly supervises 6 first line supervisors and 5 Division support staff. You will resolve staffing, facilities, information technology, security, process and project issues. You will support technical and programmatic alignment in the Basic and Applied Research Division. You will provide direction, oversight and conduct technical performance reviews and prepare for Division Reviews.

Lead process improvement activities; collect and analyze metrics for use in the management and direction of programs; and analyze and evaluate proposed changes in policy and procedures and communicate impact and contingencies.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications NM-05 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Lead process improvement activities; collect and analyze metrics for use in the management and direction of programs; and analyze and evaluate proposed changes in policy and procedures and communicate impact and contingencies; and lead Center level teams.

Engages with other Divisions and Departments for Center level efforts.

NM-04 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.

At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.

This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories.

The pay schedule for all Supervisor Positions will be NM-2/3/4/5/6. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
