Summary

You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER SUPERVISOR I in the NUCLEAR MATERIAL DIVISION (CODE 2305), NUCLEAR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.



Duties
  • You will plan, schedule, and coordinate receipt, custody, and issue of all materials within one or more worksites/warehouses.
  • You will develop warehousing plans to accommodate materials received/issued dependent on storage requirements and spaces available.
  • You will develop and implement Nuclear Material Control Branch policies and procedures and monitor the compliance to those policies and procedures.
  • You will identify and resolve problem areas and initiate improved material storage and control methods.
  • You will insure adequate stock of materials and excess stocks are redistributed or disposed of in accordance with established procedures.
  • You will assign or reassign personnel within area-of-responsibility to meet changing workloads.
  • You will advise subordinates as to the proper procedures to be followed in situations involving special handling, storage, issue, and transfer of Nuclear materials.
