Floral Coordinator

Under the direction of the Manager, Seasonal Event Décor/Floral, the Floral Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and success of our floral and plant operations within the Horticulture Division. This position primarily focuses on managing all aspects of perishable plant delivery, including the coordination of incoming and outgoing floral and plant deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and placing orders for new products at the direction of the Horticulture management team. The coordinator must efficiently track and monitor inventory to prevent overstock and shrinkage and ensure the quality of products meets the organization's standards. They must also conduct floral deliveries and product pick-up. This role will require a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of horticultural products and plants to effectively manage the lifecycle of inventory and seamless operations of the floral services that are provided to both our internal and external guests.

1. Processes and receives all floral and plant orders. Managing invoices and purchases orders for all perishable plant inventory. Performs quality control checks to ensure the quality standard for all plant products is upheld. Addresses and corrects any discrepancies in quantity and quality with suppliers.

2. Responsible for Coordinating and overseeing the delivery of floral arrangements both on and off resort property. Ensuring delivery in a timely, safe, and efficient manner while maintaining the quality and integrity of the floral products. Manages delivery system and makes adjustments as needed to ensure the luxury guest experience.

3. Maintains department plant and flower inventory. Accurately updates records of current stock, monitors inventory levels to prevent overstock and shrink, as well as performs regular inventory audits and updates current inventory tracking systems.

4. Places orders for new floral and plant products based on inventory needs and demand. Liaises with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Must stay up to date with the latest trends in floral products to make informed ordering decisions.

5. Completes order pick-ups and deliveries of essential tools and parts needed within the Department. Coordinates with vendors and internal teams to ensure quality, timeliness, and expense management of purchased tools and parts.

6. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Floral and Plant Life knowledge required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
• Inventory management software and/or purchase order systems preferred.
• A background in logistics preferred.
• Proactive and resourceful; Ability to work autonomously.
• Polished and professional demeanor in person, online and via phone with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong spelling and grammatical skills.
• Highly organized with strong strategic prioritization, planning and time management skills including ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround is essential.
• Demonstrates the ability to exercise utmost discretion with confidential information including but not limited to, credit card information, costs, and expenditures.

• At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
• A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company's insurance carrier.
