As a Telecommunications Specialist at the GS /12, some of your typical work assignments may include:

Acts as liaison between technical personnel, management, and vendors to facilitate detailed implementation of systems and proactively prevent down time or problems.

Works closely with the Network Administration Team to design telephone systems that integrate with existing IT networks to provide operating capabilities for accomplishing mission requirements.

Prepares or reviews Genesys Cloud services, and facility specifications.

Monitors and resolves technical problems in the preparation of systems and/or facilities, the procurement and installation of Genesys Cloud Services and develops and conducts operational acceptance tests.

Performs staff level functions involved in long- and short-range planning.

Participates in planning for future systems and capabilities, for the short-term, and/or for the long-term projections of requirements and technology needed to satisfy them.

Reviews and recommends specific kinds of communications security systems according to operating requirements, classification or sensitivity of traffic, agency policies and standards.

This is a Permanent position, which is a competitive service status position with a full-time work schedule.

A valid driver's license may be required.
