Job Description Summary:
Function as a staff physician in the Department of Neurology. Duties at KU will involve assisting in the general neurology clinics, Hospital rounds, teaching medical students and neurology residents, and fellows.
Job Description:

Employment Conditions: Must have Kansas medical license.

Required Qualifications

Education: MD or foreign degree equivalent to an MD.

Work Experience: Two (2) years of training in a neurology program. Eligible for Kansas medical license. Background check required

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Job Duties:

  • Be part of the Neurology/Neuroimmunology program at the medical school.
  • Develop independent research projects and publish scholarly publications from these efforts.
  • Attend on the general neurology consult service, Supervise neurology residents. This will include supervision of residents in the hospital wards, and in the general neurology clinic. Generally, resident continuity clinic supervision is once a month.
  • See patients in the outpatient neurology clinic.
  • Teach medical students on the wards and in clinic, and provide occasional lectures to medical students. Pursue scholarly activity in the area of neuroimmunology.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by department chair.
