Remote Network Automation Engineer/Cisco/CICD/Ansible/Python

As a Senior Network Automation Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of automated solutions to streamline network operations and enhance efficiency. Leveraging your expertise in network automation technologies, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in network infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts for network provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring using tools such as Ansible, Python, or similar.
- Design and implement scalable automation frameworks to support network automation initiatives across the organization.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and prioritize projects based on business needs.
- Integrate network automation solutions with existing systems and tools to ensure seamless operation and interoperability.
- Implement best practices for version control, code review, and documentation to ensure the reliability and maintainability of automation scripts and workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on network automation principles and practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in network automation to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related field, with a focus on automation and scripting.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby.
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
