Job Description

Provide Quality Technical support to operations Value Streams with direction from the Quality team and in cooperation with all functions within the Value Stream.

Position will maintain and analyze the Quality Documentation, Procedures and Processes within the Value Stream including PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, process capability analysis, gage selection and related areas of focus.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

Must be able to learn, apply, and retain new techniques, concepts and procedures required for continuously improving products, processes, services, deliveries, and overall quality.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, PFMEA, control plans, routers, job instructions and measurement tools.

Must be flexible to move from different work areas to meet the delivery expectations of the customers and the productivity goals for the plant.

Analyze and present all quality inputs of production to improve the quality of the products and documentations of the Value Stream

Perform and coordinate Pre-Production Approval Packages for new and revised products and process changes.

Analyze and coordinate efforts in response to customer quality issues. Propose error proofing solutions in support of process improvement and in new product development

Ensure compliance to the gage calibration as well as document management systems for Quality documentation

Support the internal audit process in performing and resolving noncompliance issues in accordance with ISO/IATF 16949

Lead and participate in teams or in other activities in accordance with requests from the VWT Quality Engineer or location Quality Manager.

Must be able to lift to 5 pounds frequently.

Must create/maintain a safe work environment and abide to Danfoss' Life-Saving Rules at all times.

Must maintain a clean and well-organized work environment in accordance with the 5S process including records filing information.

Must be able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision.

Background & Skills


• High School Degree or GED

• 2+ years of quality experience

• Disciplined problem-solving tools such as 8D, use and development of FMEA, fishbone, statistical process control and other basic quality tools

• Ability to read quality drawings, specifications (GD&T), process control plans, PFMEA's, routers, job instructions, standardize work, and basic statistical methods.

• Proficient in AIAG core tools

• Proficient with Microsoft office, Power BI, Outlook and ERP systems MFG-PRO, SAP.

• Must have excellent presentation and communication skills.

• Certified quality technician (CQT) is preferred.
