Job Description:

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology, LLC is seeking a Logistics Technician to support ongoing activities under the Kirtland AFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary:

The Logistics Technician provides warehouse operations, control and accountability, inventory management (i.e., ordering, receiving, delivery, exchanging of furnishings), and completes necessary documentation in accordance with the company's processes and customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs and monitors management (and procedural application) of manual or automated inventory control actions.
  • Perform receipt, storage, and issue of material in support of the Unaccompanied Housing Management and General Officer Quarters Management.
  • Enters all pertinent data into the Enterprise Housing Management (e-HM)-FMO database.
  • Computes and accumulates data for use in analysis.
  • Performs inventories and ensures timely correction of discrepancies.
  • Prepares, analyses, and evaluates reports, procedures, and policy data.
  • Inspects and evaluates inventory management activities.
  • Periodically inspects activities for compliance with policies, procedures, and directives for accuracy.
  • Analyzes reports and records activities, reports inefficiencies to supervisors and recommends corrective actions to improve operations.
  • Provides support to maintenance activities.
  • Coordinates with maintenance activities on repairable component actions.
  • Controls and issues bench stock property.
  • Inspects and identifies property.
  • Inspects conditions of property received.
  • Compares property with procurement specifications.
  • Performs shelf-life inspections of stock.
  • Recommends procedures for improving storage and issuing property.
  • Prepares statements of fact surrounding property loss, damage, or destruction through causes other than fair wear and tear.
  • Issues, delivers, and transfers property.
  • Pulls, issues, and bins, bench stock property.
  • Ensures compliance of fire prevention and safety standards.
  • Ensures proper storage of sensitive, hazardous, and flammable property.
  • Prevents deterioration, contamination, and destruction of property.
  • Coordinates with customers regarding priority of deliveries and destination points.
  • Ensure assigned unit vehicles are serviceable.
  • Operate forklift and storage systems to offload, store, retrieve and distribute material.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum education level of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in logistics operations or a related field
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and prepare daily reports.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Possess competent and effective computer skills to include using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Must have proficient English oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management, and customers.
  • Must be a US citizen and currently possess or be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.
  • Have ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.
  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Department of Defense or other government environment.
